At the Thermane Laško Medical Center, we are starting a neurological outpatient clinic on Wednesdays between 2:30 and 6:30 p.m.

She is in charge of the activities of the neurological outpatient clinic dr. Marija Šoštarič Podlesnik.

Among the most common neurological diseases are strokes, epilepsy, Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease and multiple sclerosis. However, the list of symptoms that require a clinical neurological examination is much longer:

• Headaches

• dizziness,

• gait disorder,

• various tremors,

• involuntary joints,

• sleep, balance, speech and memory disorders,

• cognitive disorders,

• tingling and

• limb motor problems.

 

A comprehensive approach to diagnostics and treatment

At Thermana Laško, we offer a wide range of neurological services, which include:

• Specialist neurological examination,

• extended clinical neurological examination with assessment of basic cognitive functions,

• ultrasound of the carotid arteries, which is crucial for the early detection of atherosclerotic plaques.

Ultrasound examination of the jugular vein, performed on a modern device Philips Epiq Elite G, allows insight into the interior of the neck arteries and assessment of the presence of possible atherosclerotic plaques and the degree of arterial blockage.

In the neurological outpatient clinic, we provide specialist examinations, examinations with an extended opinion and evaluation of basic cognitive functions, as well as ultrasound of the neck arteries.

The outpatient clinic will also expand in cooperation with renowned neurologists, specialists from SB Celje, UKC Ljubljana, UKC Maribor.
