In the company Thermana dd, on the occasion of the jubilee year, when we celebrate 170 years of operation and 71 years of medical rehabilitation, we are proudly concluding II. phase of renovation of the physiotherapy rooms. We remind you that in last year's first phase, we renovated the rooms for hydrotherapy and occupational therapy. During these days, II was completed. the renovation phase, which included the renovation of the physiotherapy rooms, was a big deal, both in terms of size, the area in which we intervened with the renovation works, as well as from the point of view of logistics and work organization.
The physiotherapy program, which is one of the most important programs of the company, is strongly involved in the programs of spa treatment, restorative rehabilitation and outpatient physiotherapy. One of the major segments of the physiotherapy operation takes place within the framework of the contract with ZZZS, where we treat 3,500 patients annually and generate approx. 51,000 overnight stays. Physiotherapy is also one of the important factors in the implementation of restorative rehabilitation.
In this area, we cooperate with many societies and associations (e.g. multiple sclerosis, paraplegics, paralytics, people with Parkinson's disease, Sonček, Sožitje, etc.). On an annual level, we create approximately 13,000 overnight stays from this title, and almost 1,000 beneficiaries of restorative rehabilitation successfully undergo rehabilitation with us. In the field of ambulatory physiotherapy and special physiotherapy treatment, we treat approx. 4,000 people, the level of self-paying services is increasing from year to year.
New in our offer is also a self-paying orthopedic outpatient clinic, which is managed by Marko Kotnik, MD, MD, specialist. of orthopedics and the new professional head of the Medical Center at Thermana dd. We are also opening the doors of a self-paying neurological clinic and expanding the range of services in this area.
Based on our tradition, the exceptional natural factor of Laško thermal water and many years of experience in the field of medical rehabilitation, the company Thermana is strengthening its visibility and position on the domestic and foreign markets with the further development of medical programs and services.

The renovated premises today enable better quality treatment, an individualized approach, and accessibility for people with disabilities is at the forefront, which we have been pursuing for decades. The long-awaited new premises are an excellent way to mark the exceptional jubilee that we are celebrating – 170 years of the company's operation and the intended use of our Laško thermal water for well-being and over 70 years of medical rehabilitation, where Laško occupies one of the most prominent places in our country. I am proud of the team of employees who diligently carry out their mission – to strengthen health, to restore well-being to our visitors, guests, and patients. In the renovated premises, this will be easier and more pleasant, both for our guests and employees.”
